All commercial vehicles that have a CDL that fall under the CDL requirements that have air brakes on, you would need an air- break endorsement. If you didn't have an air-break endorsement you wouldn't be able to drive a commercial vehicle that was equipped with air brakes.

What kind of vehicles can I drive with a Class A CDL License?

With a Class A it's a commercial vehicle and combination, combination power unit and trailer. The power unit has to be weight rated over 26,000 pounds. The trailer has to be weight rated over 10,000.00 pounds. The tractor trailer or tractor and what we call long vehicles so more than one trailer, doubled or tripled, it could be a dump truck weighted over 26,000 pounds pulling an equipment trailer of some type that is rated over 10,000 pounds.
